Back to the Caravan

One story the Caravan is carrying

Beau’s Journey

The catalyst... to do what we want more - relax more - love more - play music more (and let Tash drag us off in a Caravan more).

An unfolding story...

Beautiful Beau.

In 2026, Beau was diagnosed with a large brain tumour and underwent major brain surgery.

It was all very sudden.  When we shared it with the music community of Tasmania were were deeply moved by how many people responded with love, care and prayers.  The community immediately rallied around him with a Go Fund Me, a phenomenal Music Event Fundraiser, a Raffle with awesome donated prizes.  It's been just.... heart exploding.  And deeply inspiring.  These moments bring community together and remind us of the preciousness of life and each other.  And give us an excuse to love hard. Many have asked us to keep them updated on Beau's progress and many have shared such incredible stories.

So we want to share the journey.

So many people have already shared their own incredible stories of miraculous healing. We want to share these and more of Beau's own journey.

The practical realities. The recovery. The medical updates. The things we’re learning. The beautiful moments. The difficult ones. The strange synchronicities. The extraordinary kindness of people.

The questions we are asking about healing, consciousness, the body and life itself.

And all the love and Grace that appear around us along the way (there's a lot).

Everything Changes

A place for the beginning of the story: Beau becoming unwell, discovering the tumour, surgery, and those first extraordinary weeks.

We will share this chapter when it feels right. For now, this marks the beginning—the moment ordinary life changed shape, and we began learning how to live inside the unknown.

Reflections

Coming Home

A place for recovery, pathology, learning what the diagnosis means, and adjusting to life after brain surgery.

Coming home did not mean returning to the life we had before. It meant meeting each day as it arrived: recovery, questions, music, tiredness, laughter, and the quiet work of finding our feet again.

Magic Along the Way

Where We Are Now

A place for current updates, recovery, music, daily life, and what we are exploring next.

This story is still unfolding. We are choosing to keep living, loving, creating, and exploring while it does—and to notice the kindness, music, mystery, and ordinary beauty that continue to meet us here.

Moments along the way

Small windows into the journey

A few extra photographs from the road, the hospital and the quiet in-between days.

More moments coming soon.
